The place
The documented history
The official county listing says the building served as Fauquier County Hospital in 1925, when it operated as a 20-bed hospital in the former Garner House. The property also has a connection to an earlier law office used by John Marshall before that outbuilding was lost in the Great Warrenton Fire of 1909.
